We are seeking Survey and LiDAR Office Technicians to join our team in Farmers Branch or San Antonio.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Overview

We have openings for Survey and LiDAR Office Technicians to support field operations in our growing Survey Department. These roles will assist Registered Professional Land Surveyors and/or the LiDAR Manager with survey research, data processing, and preparation of survey deliverables.

Conduct deed research and analyze existing rights-of-way and adjoining property boundaries.
Prepare legal descriptions and reduce field notes to create digital terrain models (DTMs) for planimetric and topographic surveys.
Prepare base mapping for design surveys.
Assist with boundary surveys, plats, and right-of-way documents.
For LiDAR positions, process geospatial data and extract 2D and 3D information from aerial, terrestrial, and mobile point clouds to prepare maps and DTMs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2 to 3 years of experience is preferred.
Experience with survey data reduction and base mapping for design surveys.
Experience preparing boundary surveys, plats, and right-of-way documents. TxDOT experience preferred.
Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) or Certified Survey Technician designation preferred, but not required.
Proficiency in MicroStation/GEOPAK is a plus.
Experience with Leica Infinity is desirable.
For LiDAR positions, prior experience processing geospatial data and extracting 2D and 3D information from aerial, terrestrial, and mobile point clouds.
Experience with TopoDOT software is a plus for LiDAR positions.
Prior survey field experience is a plus.
U.S. citizenship.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
